
A 28-year-old man was stabbed to death by his brother-in-law in BogotĂĄ. This is what we know.
Authorities responded to a call from the public regarding a fight that occurred in one of the towns in southern BogotĂĄ and ended in fatality.
A knife fight left a 28-year-old man dead on a street in the InvasiĂłn Tabora Alta neighborhood of Ciudad BolĂvar, south of BogotĂĄ. According to Qâhubo  , the incident occurred on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at around 7:00 p.m. on 71st Street South and 26th Avenue, when an argument between two men, apparently close friends, escalated into a violent altercation.
The victim was identified as Brian Javier Hernåndez, who was assisted by his neighbors  and other family members who witnessed the violent scene. However, he died shortly after being taken to the hospital due to the severity of the injuries inflicted by the other man.
According to the local newspaper, the conflict erupted when the victim decided to go to where several people were gathered.  Witnesses also indicated that the young man had been drinking alcohol earlier in the day at another location : âThey say he was acting strange that afternoon,â one of the neighbors said in an interview with the outlet. During the encounter, an argument arose between Brian and a man who, according to residents, was his brother-in-law. The dispute quickly escalated into a knife fight.
The resident of the area recounted the following: âA young man got into a knife fight with his brother-in-law. The story goes that it was serious, because even the deceasedâs brother-in-law ended up injured.
